A good plan b is to have a spare key!
At Exact key cutting service north shore you can rest assured that your keys will be cut perfectly first time every time so as you don't waist your time and money. My expertise in key cutting doesn't come from a book or school, it comes from my love of keys and locks since the age of about 6 years old. Now I'm a key cutter and a petty good locksmith. I have spent the last 3 years developing my own type of key that covers all of the cheap copy locks and keys that seem to be found in doors and on the shelves of hardware stores around the world. I made certain that my keys that I copy are made of brass and are not likely to snap or rust. Have you noticed that a lot of keys made today are steel. My key cutting / duplicating machines are calibrated perfectly to cut a key to within a tenth of a millimeter. Key duplicates have to be perfect or they will not work. On the other pages I have a description of my mortise key cut machinery. I have a Tibbe machine that cuts uncommon automotive keys to code and to perfection. I have a code key cutting machine for house key duplicates. but my favorite machine took 5 years to pay for and is now being used daily. It can cut keys to code or from a picture of a key, it is a laser type key cutting machine, any locksmith would love one of these. With all these awsome machines I am glad to be a expert key cutter. When I go to my North Shore locksmith shop on a Monday morning I feel great because It means the I can play all day with my favorite key cutting toys. In the future I will be cutting tubular keys and will get a machine to copy the weird dimple keys, they seem to be turning up on a lot of doors around Auckland.
